I used to live in Fort Wayne and thought it was so fabulous with its plays and music and shopping centers and the best library in the world, I really love that town. But that was then, now I have come to a true big city and I am standing like a deer in the headlights of a car. There is so much to do here that I can’t decide what to do first (crazy I know). Kate and I traveled to Cincinnati several times to the Aronoff Center on the UC campus!!! and though I can get tickets for half price, I haven’t been to a play once yet – in nine months! And Cincinnati has wine tastings every Friday and jazz music and I haven’t even been to their library… and it is in two buildings downtown.
Perhaps it is because whatever I do, I do alone. I am so used to having my kiddos or my sweetie around all the time, alone is something I haven’t done in a very long time. This week I vow I will go somewhere – anywhere – my blog will hold me accountable. Each week I will share one adventure in Cincinnati. I will get out there and experience life in Queen City!
My boss sent the faculty an email yesterday and mentioned that she is going to put together a group of mongraphs. She tagged me because I will be responsible to giving them the first lookover before they go to the editor. Interesting. I am far too busy to take classes right now, but perhaps I will use this time to get something published! Let’s see… Integrating STEM in the classroom setting… OR… How to use a lab notebook in a STEM science classroom…OR… Teaching science standards with STEM… it is all so interesting. I LOVE MY JOB!
While the Katzaway, the mice will play.
Three schools and a job relocation later, I’m working on STEM teaching techniques in the great state of Ohio. I’m meeting so many interesting people, this web site is dedicated to organizing some of my thoughts about tools that can make your classroom great!
